See snow, be wowed by waterfalls and indulge in sweet treats on our Lake Mountain Snow Tour. A 90-minute drive from Melbourne takes you to Australia’s famous Lake Mountain ski resort, a snow lovers paradise.

As we head to Lake Mountain, take in the beautiful views of the Yarra Valley, one of the world’s best wine regions. We will stop at either the Yarra Valley Gateway Estate Coldstream or Beechworth Bakery, where you can have lunch and shop for local produce, sweets, and pastries.

We then head to the Lake Mountain Alpine Resort, the closest ski resort to Melbourne. It has modern facilities, stunning views, cross-country ski trails, toboggan runs, tube runs and even a snowman park.
Located 120km northeast of Melbourne, Lake Mountain is a leading cross country snow resort with over 100,000 visitors per year. Its highest point is 1,480m above sea level and the skiable area is 2,400 hectares. There are 37km of ski trails and 3 toboggan slopes.

Situated in the middle of a 190-hectare reserve, the falls have 5 cascades with a total drop of 122m into the Steavenson River Valley. Get amongst nature and listen to the sound of the water, trees and birds. Reflect on the day’s adventures and the beauty and wonder of the world around you. When we get back to Melbourne, we will visit the famous Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery to taste the region’s goodies. Watch the chocolatiers at work and enjoy free samples of their yummy treats. Help yourself to handcrafted chocolates, ice creams and other sweet treats.
Bring your sense of adventure and wonder as we head into the mountains for the day. Be dressed in waterproof jackets, gloves, beanies and comfortable walking shoes. Don’t forget your water bottle.
